A Deal and a Steal

The tea on the left pictured above is the raspberry leaf tea I usually buy. It's tasty and it always comes in handy a few days before my period, but it costs over 5 dollars for only 16 bags. The tea on the right is a box I picked up a T.J. Maxx while at the beach with my family. There are 50 bags in that tiny little box, and it only cost 4 dollars. Even better, this tea has both raspberry leaf and raspberry fruit, so...

Since it is Fat Tuesday, sharing my favorite detox tea with the world seems appropriate (because, come tomorrow, you might regret all the Mard Gras drinking you might've done in the past few days). Traditional Medicinals EveryDay Detox Tea promotes healthy function of the liver and the kidneys, and it's made with 85% organic ingredients.  It tastes like licorice and chai, both of which aren't everyone's cup of tea (har har...I'm pretty sure I've made this joke before), but I actually enjoy it a lot. I don't usually...

Link to Being sick is my current excuse for buying tasty beverages.

I'm feeling a little better today, but I'm still not at my best. Hopefully I'll be back to making relevant and helpful posts soon, but today I just wanted to share a few of my favorite sick time items with you guys: 1) Bananas- Sure, they have Vitamin C, Potassium, and Vitamin B6, but they're also easy on a sore throat (unlike potato chips, for instance). 2)Ricola Honey Lemon with Echinacea Cough Drops- These guys aren't overwhelmingly sweet like some other throat lozenges tend to be...

It's tasty with or without honey. 3) Danielle's Apple Cider Vinegar and Green Tea Toner-  I may have a cold, but my skin has...

Cervical Dysplasia

Link to Cervical Dysplasia

I discovered that I had cervical dysplasia after my second or third trip to the Gynecologist. My follow-up pap smear was also abnormal.  I have friends who have had to undergo biopsies after repeated abnormal pap smears, and I've heard a horror story or two about how painful it can be. Needless to say, I wanted to avoid that.  My sister told me that she read a few things online about natural remedies for cervical dysplasia, and I did some research for myself shortly after that. A lot of the blogs and articles that I found suggested discontinuing the use...

Care for a cup of period tea?

Link to Care for a cup of period tea?

That's what I'm calling this new Traditional Medicinals female toner tea that I recently bought. The box tells me that it's supposed to "support female systems by combining herbs to support healthy menstruation, purify blood, and strengthen and tone the uterus."  I have no real way of knowing if this stuff actually works (even though the box tells me that the ingredients speak for themselves), but I like the taste so I'm drinking it whether or not it actually helps my girly parts.  Herbal ingredients include raspberry leaf, licorice root, strawberry leaf, nettle leaf, angelica root, blessed thistle herb, cramp...
