If you feel like you've seen this soap on the blog recently, then it's because you have. Danielle gave me a bar for Christmas, and I've been using it ever since. Now it's time for a review! Ingredients (provided at iherb.com)- "100% vegetable soap: butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), coconut oil and/or palm oil, apricot oil, nigella sativa (black seed), honey, vegetable glycerin, tocopherol (vitamin E), mineral pigment or vegetable color, essential oil blend." The preliminary report I created for this product in the Cosmetics...

I'm currently reading Bossypants (and loving it), but I plan on reading the above gem when I finish. Danielle is letting me borrow both. Have I mentioned that she's the best?

I'M GONNA LEARN SO MUCH ABOUT HEALTHY EATING!

Speaking of healthy eating, are you participating in the No More Dirty Looks 10 vegetables or fruit a day challenge? I...

I couldn't have asked for better Christmas gifts than the ones given to me by my sister and my boyfriend. from Danielle:

From left to right and top to bottom- Rock Sugar, Bar Soap, Mustard Bath, Teavana Tea. The soap, sugar, and teas smell like a dream, and I cannot wait to use that mustard bath.   and Kirby:

Danielle has been experimenting with a lot of homemade personal care products lately, and I wish I could say that I had the spare time available to join her. Since I don't, and since she's an angel, she has been concocting a few products for me to try as well. I've been particularly impressed with a witch hazel and lemon toner that she made, and it has even become a temporary replacement for the apple cider vinegar and green tea toner...

Danielle made sushi roll edamame salad a few nights ago, and it kind of rocked my world. In case you can't tell what everything is in the tiny picture above, I'll list the components: organic romaine lettuce, edamame, brown rice, cucumber, carrot, green onion, nori, and avocado. The homemade dressing, Green Onion-Miso Vinaigrette, was probably my favorite part, and I plan to put it on so many future salads.   And here are a couple of links worth sharing: Chocolate Good for Heart?- This short article seems a...

Yesterday was Danielle's birthday, and I celebrated by making the tastiest strawberry cupcakes with buttercream. I won't lie: Kirby helped a good bit. Converting grams isn't something I'm awesome at doing.  I will pat myself (ourselves?) on the back, though, because they were way delicious. You'll try them if you know what's good for you.     That wasn't a threat.  I promise. :...

Well, our '90s party was a complete success. As you can probably gather from the picture below, I received several wonderful gifts in the past few days as well. My actual birthday isn't until this Friday,  and I have a feeling more great gifts are on their way. Birthdays are the best! 1. As mentioned in her fantastic guest review,  Danielle bought me a Diva Cup for my birthday. She always gives the most useful and thoughtful gifts. I can't wait for my next period, which isn't...

Even the occasional reader of my blog has probably seen mention of my lovely sister, Danielle. She's basically my role model, and her countless healthy decisions have undoubtedly influenced the majority of mine. Today she'll be reviewing the Diva Cup, a product that I've heard only positive things about and cannot wait to try. Take it away, Sister! I’ve been experimenting with alternative menstrual products since around the time I left home for college. All the waste associated with conventional tampons and...

The Perfect Homemade Deodorant?

Danielle made Angry Chicken's version of homemade deodorant a while back, and while she found the tiny heart bars (pictured above) she made using a silicone muffin pan very easy to apply, the combination of ingredients didn't eliminate and prevent her body odor like she'd hoped. Danielle promptly went back to her prior homemade deodorant, and left her unused bars in our refrigerator. I'm always up for trying new things, especially those that are health and beauty related, and Danielle knows this. So...

Could you guys do me a favor and pretty please fill out this quick survey about your favorite and least favorite post topics? Thanks in advance; I'm curious to hear your thoughts on improving Turby and John!   P.S. My mom bought me a Tervis Tumbler on my visit home recently, and I'm in love with this thing. It has two lids for hot and cold beverages, and it's BPA free. Drinking water has never been more convenient! I'm drinking mint green tea out of it as I type this, and life is good.
