It's that time of year when I get a burst of energy that convinces me to exercise enthusiastically for all of a week. SO I've been doing knee lifts like a crazy person for the past few days. Maybe I'm being overzealous/counting my chickens before they hatch, but my stomach is already starting to look pretty awesome. With results this fast, I might just have to keep it up this time*! In other news, I recently discovered that mixing the cheapest green tea bags in the entire grocery store with the cheapest spearmint tea bags in the entire grocery store results...

New Year, New Goals

Link to New Year, New Goals

I'm not good at keeping promises to myself. Last year, my new year's resolution was to work out every other day. That might've lasted for a week, and by the end of it my idea of working out was wearing ankle weights to check the mailbox. This year's resolutions are a little less rigid; I'm taking it easy since this'll be my last year on earth (jokes). Five goals for 2012: Drink more tea (herbal, green, white, black...you name it!) Eliminate beef and pork from my diet completely. I already eat them very infrequently, so this should be easy peasy. Read...

Foody Friday: These Three Teas

Link to Foody Friday: These Three Teas

I've made a habit of mixing teas lately. Below are three I've been enjoying both by themselves and all together.

The Get Smart Tea that Christina got me for my birthday is my absolute favorite way to begin my morning. I've been filling up my tumbler with this stuff and taking it to school with me each day, and I love that the flavor reminds me a little of ginger ale. It's also nice with a little green tea (if I'm feeling particularly sleepy)...

Care to relive with me this past week's tastiest times? Oh yeah, in case you were wondering, my love affair with kiddie cereal is far from over.   And what's Foody Friday without foody links? Here's the recipe for those beet and black bean burgers (pictured above). Beat the heat with these 5 Cool Salads! I'm not too disappointed by this article that draws attention to 3 Veggies That Have Very Little Nutritional Value. Iceberg lettuce is kind of the worst...

Well, our '90s party was a complete success. As you can probably gather from the picture below, I received several wonderful gifts in the past few days as well. My actual birthday isn't until this Friday,  and I have a feeling more great gifts are on their way. Birthdays are the best! 1. As mentioned in her fantastic guest review,  Danielle bought me a Diva Cup for my birthday. She always gives the most useful and thoughtful gifts. I can't wait for my next period, which isn't...

A Deal and a Steal

The tea on the left pictured above is the raspberry leaf tea I usually buy. It's tasty and it always comes in handy a few days before my period, but it costs over 5 dollars for only 16 bags. The tea on the right is a box I picked up a T.J. Maxx while at the beach with my family. There are 50 bags in that tiny little box, and it only cost 4 dollars. Even better, this tea has both raspberry leaf and raspberry fruit, so...
