Since I don’t get the chance to review many nutritional supplements here on T&J, I was pretty excited when I received an email from NeoCell nutricosmetics providing me with the opportunity to try a product of my choosing. As the title of this post has already disclosed, I ended up choosing the super collagen powder. Why, you ask? Well, I’m immediately on board with any supplement that promises thicker hair, radiant skin, and stronger nails.
Ingredients (provided on product’s label)- “Super Collagen Type 1&3 derived from pharmaceutical food grade bovine collagen”
Some great things about this product:
1. It’s gluten, soy, wheat, lactose, starch, corn, yeast, and artificial flavor-free.
2. It’s GMP certified.

Super Collagen Powder ™ Type 1 & 3: The word “collagen” is derived from the word kolla, the Greek word for glue. Daily, the body repeats a cycle of collagen breakdown and rebuilding. Performance- The NeoCell website says that those using this product should see results within three weeks, and that seems about right since I’ve started each morning with it for the past two weeks and my nails already seem stronger. As for my hair and skin, they both look great! And while I can’t say that the collagen powder is entirely responsible for my glowing skin and healthy hair (peppermint pimple zapper and argan oil deserve a great deal of credit as well), it certainly seems to be helping.
Scent/Taste- This product’s flavor and scent aren’t altogether pleasant, but mixing it with grapefruit juice or into a smoothie effectively masks any undesirable taste.
Rating- 9/10. I subtracted .5 for the slightly steep price and another .5 since the flavor isn’t completely ideal. Otherwise, this powder is golden!
Would I purchase this item again? If I continue to see results, then most definitely!
