After my recent brush with insanity, I decided to run out and buy some calming teas. I'm a big fan of hot teas. 1) Melatonin- I take one 3 mg pill of these bad boys about thirty minutes before I get in the bed. Since melatonin is a hormone that the body (more specificially, the brain) already makes, I don't feel guilty about taking them to help me sleep. Word to the wise, do not take these unless you plan on getting eight or more hours of sleep: any less and you will feel hung-the-hell-over.
