Stark Skincare Argan Lip Treatment Review

Argan Lip Treatment

When Jessica had a giveaway on her blog a few months back, I entered and was actually one of the lucky winners to get a tube of her Argan Lip Treatment for free! Today I’ll be reviewing it.

Ingredients (provided at “Argan oil, Cocoa seed butter, candelila wax, vit. E, pure essential oils.”

This preliminary report I created for this product in the Cosmetics Database gives it a low hazard score of 1. The only ingredients with hazard scores above 0 are tocopherol and unspecified oils. I’m not worried about either, but I do wish I knew the oils she used so I could make everything I own smell like this product.

Some great things about this product:

1. It’s free of parabens, sulfates, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, petrochemicals, and all other gross chemicals you might wish to avoid.

2. It’s vegan and cruelty-free.

3. It’s gluten-free.

Product Description(provided at “Inspired by the arid climes of the North African desert and the frost-bitten intersections of Montreal, is Stark’s 5th member of the family, Argan Lip Treatment.

The texture: Not exactly a lip balm, this silken, buttery lip treatment melts into lips creating a serum-like treatment for parched lips in need of protection, rejuvenation and a little shine. Lips feel instantly relieved, incredibly soft, and plumped with just a touch of natural glossiness. Scented naturally with Bulgarian Rose and Vanilla Absolute.

The scent: Rose is known as a timeless skin rejeuvenator, and has an uplifting scent. Vanilla is calming and comforting, and smells delicious with the nuttiness of Argan and Cocoa seed butter.

* n.b: This treatment was created to contain very little wax to lessen “drag” and stickiness on lips (compared to most balms), but just enough to be used in an oval tube, which is more hygienic than a lip balm jar, and less wasteful (and “goopy”!) than other options. However, this means that your Lip Treatment should be kept out of direct sunlight or very hot conditions. If it does melt, simply pop it into the fridge, standing right side up. Can be worn in a pocket or purse safely, however!”

Price$12 for a 4.3 gram tube.

Performance– This lip treatment is a dream. I basically wear it 24/7, and it gives my lips a nice shine whether I wear it alone or underneath various lipsticks. It makes my lips crazy soft; just ask anyone who I’ve kissed lately (Kirby or my mom are your best bets).

Scent– The scent of this product isn’t easy for me to describe, but I will say this: I LOVE IT. It’s a little floral and a little sweet and a lot awesome. It reminds me of my childhood, and I can’t pinpoint why.

Rating– 10/10. What else? I’d subtract a point for the price, but I’ll gladly pay $12 for a tube of this magic when I run out.

Would I purchase this item again? A world of yes.

*I won this product in a giveaway. Opinions are still my own.
