Nourish Fresh Fig Organic Body Wash Review

Nourish Body Wash

I’m back today with a review of Nourish’s lovely Fresh Fig Organic Body Wash. Let’s go!

Ingredients (provided at “Organic Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Organic Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Purified Water, Potassium Hydroxide, Organic Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Organic Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Organic Cyamopsis Tetragonoloba (Guar) Gum, Organic Fragrance, Organic Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Organic Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Milk, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Organic Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Extract, Organic Althea Offinalis (Marshmallow) Root Extract.”

The preliminary report that I created for this product in the Cosmetics Database gives it a hazard score of 2. The only individual ingredient with a hazard score above a 2 is unspecified oils (which I put in the ingredient list in place of fragrance since Nourish uses “only pure essential oils from organic fruits and botanicals”).

Some great things about this product:

1. It’s free of parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, artificial fragrances or preservatives, silicones, propylene glycol, mineral oils, sulfates, synthetic dyes, triclosan, edta, and aluminum.

2. It’s cruelty-free and vegan.

3. It’s made almost entirely of organic ingredients.

4. It’s gluten-free.

Product Description(provided at “You can feel truly good about your daily bath or shower when you cleanse your body with this organic hydrating blend of soothing aloe, nourishing coconut milk, antioxidant-rich Vitamin E, and a proprietary blend of moisturizing essential oils. It leaves skin smooth, soft, refreshed, and naturally scented with the enchanting fragrance of organic fig and apricot.”

Price $9.99 for a 10 fl. oz bottle, $15.99 for 2 bottles, or $22.49 for 3 bottles.

Performance– It’s very rare to find a body wash that is as moisturizing as it is cleansing, but I’m pretty sure I’ve found that in this product. My skin feels clean as well as hydrated after showering with it, and I’ve even skipped moisturizing once or twice without experiencing the itchy, dry skin that I would have after using various other soaps (I love you Dr. Bronner’s, but I’m still lookin’ at you). A few squirts of this stuff into a hot bath is also pretty amazing; I won’t lie. Some folks might be bothered by this product’s failure to produce an intense lather, but this girl isn’t one of them. I feel just as clean without it.

Scent– As I said with the lotion, it’s warm and fruity/figgy.

Rating– No good reason to give this product anything lower than a 10, so 10/10 it is.

Would I purchase this item again? I would and will. Maybe I’ll even get the trio set and try the Almond Vanilla and Lavender Mint scents as well.
