When Natural House, a company specializing in natural household cleaning products, recently reached out to bloggers to review their new glass cleaner, I was one of the lucky first 50 to respond. After using Glassy a few times around the house, I am now ready to share my thoughts with you guys. Let’s do this!
Ingredients (provided at naturalhouse.com)- “Water, Plant Based Surfactant, Citric Acid, Natural Enzymes.”
Now, I rarely get on board with vague ingredients in products I’ll be slathering on my face, hair, and body, but seeing “plant based surfactant” in a household cleaner is another thing entirely.
Some great things about this product:
1. It’s free of VOC’s, dyes, and other harmful chemicals.
2. It’s eco-Friendly, non-toxic, biodegradable.
Product Description(provided at naturalhouse.com)- “Glassy Probiotic Glass Cleaner is a revolutionary new glass cleaner. Our professional strength formula powers through dirt, grime and germs while leaving a streak free sheen. Our probiotics continue to consume germs on the surface after you are done cleaning. Natural House is safe to use on any glass surface and leaves an ultra clean shine.”
Performance– Danielle and I used this cleaner around the house on Sunday while preparing for a party, and we were both very impressed. Windows, mirrors, stovetops, you name it–this product cleans them all, and it cleans them well. We found that it works best with a microfiber cloth. Talk about a streak-free shine!
Scent– Well, the scent is citrus mint, and that’s a pretty accurate description. It’s literally a breath of fresh air compared to any of the several popular brands of glass cleaner that I can’t use without gagging (I’m lookin’ at you, Windex).
Rating– I’m subtracting a single point for the vague ingredient “plant based surfactant.” As I said earlier, though, this is hardly a deal breaker when it comes to household cleaning products. 9/10 it is!
Would I purchase this item again? I would!
