Vapour Organic Beauty Elixir Lip Plumping Gloss Review

Vapour Organic Beauty Lip Gloss

When I see a lip gloss that claims to have plumping effects, I’m always reminded of an incident in a Sephora that involved Danielle, her swollen/red face, and some questionable cosmetic brand’s version of plumping lip gloss. Needless to say, I was a little wary of trying Vapour Organic Beauty’s Elixir Plumping Lip  Gloss, regardless of how dreamy the ingredients seemed. Fortunately, I didn’t have an allergic reaction after I summoned the nerve to use it. What I did have was some seriously glossy and appropriately plump lips.

Performance– Glossy lips remind me of high school…and in the best way possible. That’s my primary reason for loving this product. The shade I received is called vivid, and it’s a pale reddish/pinkish tone that has a little sparkle to it. Many lip glosses have earned reputations of being unnecessarily thick or sticky, but this product is a exception. It’s actually rather thin, and while the brush applicator is not what I normally associate with lip gloss, it suits the consistency just fine. In the picture below, I’m wearing a coat of elixir plumping gloss in vivid over a coat of siren lipstickin ravish (which I’ll be reviewing tomorrow). Also, my lips actually did seem particularly full just after applying this gloss. See for yourself:

Scent– The scent is on the citrus end of the fruity spectrum. It’s nice.

Rating–  9/10. I subtracted .5 for the ingredient with a hazard score above a 2 and another .5 since $22 dollars isn’t what I’d generally spend on a lip gloss.

Would I purchase this item again?  Unless I had done something super awesome to deserve it, I might not want to splurge on this product for myself. However, I’d definitely buy it as a gift for a friend! I know several ladies who would appreciate this fancy lip gloss.
