I’m sad to say that this is my next to last Priia Cosmetics sampler pack review, but I’ve loved each sample so much that I’m sure I’ll be buying and trying new products in no time! This review is of their Mineral Satin Eye Shadow in Mint Leaf, and my final review will be of the Behave Finishing Powder.
Ingredients (provided at priia.com)-”Mica, Boron Nitride, Kaolin, Titanium Dioxide. May Contain: Iron Oxides, Tin Oxide, Ultramarines, Ferric Ferrocyanide”
The preliminary report that I created in the Cosmetics Database gives this product a hazard score of 3, but none of the individual ingredients have a hazard score above a 2.
Some great things about this product:
1. It’s free of parabens, retinyl palmitate, bismuth oxychloride, talc, nanoparticles, FD&C dyes, lakes, carmine, synthetics and petroleum by-products.
2. It’s cruelty and gluten-free.
3. It’s 100% vegan.
Product Description(provided at priia.com)- “Our versatile Mineral Satin Eye Shadows provide a beautiful satin sheen without looking too glittery or overly sparkly. They are extremely long-wearing and range from delicate, soft tones to bold and vibrant hues.
Mineral Satin Shadows can be mixed together to create totally unique colors, used wet for lining and foiling and also layered for dramatic eye effects. Our lighter shades make the perfect highlighter colors, while the medium to deeper tones work wonderfully as midtone and accent colors. Available in 36 gorgeous shades!
How you want to play with these colors is totally up to you! Choose complimentary hues to create a look all your own or how about a bold monochromatic color scheme (think smoky eye) to really bring out your eye color. So go ahead and have fun. Your “inner makeup artist” is just waiting to be unleashed!.”
Price- Get a free sample or a full size product (5 grams) for $7.50.
Performance- In general, I feel like it’s probably pretty easy to go overboard with green eye shadow, but this product is so subtle that it makes that almost impossible. I love that about it. It shimmers just the right amount and it doesn’t call too much attention to itself. I put three or four coats on my lids, and the results were nothing short of dreamy. This product also somehow manages to not be messy, which is a common problem I have with powdered eye shadows.
In the picture below, I’m wearing mint leaf shadow on my lids, perfect naked berry creamstick on my lips, creme mineral foundation underneath my eyes, dark chocolate mascara on my lashes, and vacation in a jar on my cheeks.
Scent- none
Rating- 9/10. I’m subtracting 1 point because of the hazard score of 3. Aside from that, this shadow is pretty perfect.
Would I purchase this item again? Certainly! I’d like to try a few other shades as well, but that might take a while since I just received 6 Alima Pure shadows in the mail to review. (Woah baby!)
*I was in no way compensated for reviewing Priia Cosmetics products. The free samples I mention are free to everyone, and I paid a small shipping fee just like any other customer. : )
There’s still a little time to enter the mocha body butter giveaway!
