Can you guys tell I’m loving all of my Priia Cosmetics samples? Today I’m reviewing Vacation in a Jar, which is the loveliest (and the first!) bronzer I’ve ever used.

Ingredients (provided at priia.com)-”Kosher Oryza Sativa (Rice) Powder, Mica, Zinc Oxide, Boron Nitride, Iron Oxides, Ultramarines, Titanium Dioxide.”

The preliminary report that I created in the Cosmetics Database gives this product hazard score of 3, but none of the individual ingredients have a hazard score above a 2. That’s always nice!

Some great things about this product:

1. It’s free of parabens, retinyl palmitate, bismuth oxychloride, talc, nanoparticles, FD&C dyes, lakes, carmine, synthetics and petroleum by-products.

2. It’s cruelty and gluten-free.

3. It’s 100% vegan.

Product Description(provided at priia.com)- “Achieve the healthy and well-rested look of an exotic, tropical vacation without the hassles of security checks, credit card debt and sun damage!

Vacation In A Jar™ is soft and matte without the typical ‘orangey’ glitter look of traditional bronzers.  Our formula contains soothing Kosher Rice Powder for cooling the skin and Zinc Oxide for its anti-inflammatory properties.  Beautiful, neutral bronze tones caress and enhance your complexion.  Vacation In A Jar™ can be used on the face and body and is suitable for all skin tones.”

Price- Get a free sample or a full size product (20 grams) for $12.50.

Performance- Like I mentioned at the beginning of this post, I’m almost certain this was my first experience with bronzer. I won’t pretend I wasn’t worried about winding up looking like an Oompa-Loompa (or worse-Snooki), so I went fairly light for my first try and used the bronzer only on my cheeks. When I saw that my skin looked sun-kissed instead of orange, I applied a little more to my cheeks with my fancy blush brush and gently rubbed it in my with fingertips. I’m happy to say that my first experience with bronzer was a great one; I might even use the word magical.

Check out my review of Priia’s essential cover creme mineral foundation for a picture of me wearing vacation in a jar and a few other Priia products.

Scent- If powdery is a scent, then let’s go with that. It smells like most powdered makeup.

Rating- 10/10. Is that three tens for Priia Cosmetics in a row? They must be doing something right.

Would I purchase this item again?  Yep.

*I was in no way compensated for reviewing Priia Cosmetics products. The free samples I mention are free to everyone, and I paid a small shipping fee just like any other customer. : )
