Priia Cosmetics Pucker Upz Lip Infusions Review

Today’s Priia Cosmetics review is for for my sample of Pucker Upz Lip Infusions in Cha-Cha Cherry. To be honest, I had a soft spot for this product before I even tried it because I’m all for replacing an s with a z to add a little sass to a word.

Ingredients (provided at”Prunis dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Apis mellifera (Beeswax), Ricinus communis (Palm Christi) Oil, Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) Butter, Theobroma cacao (Cocoa) Butter, Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Hydrogenated Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Limnanthes alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Oenothers biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Persea americana (Avocado) Butter, Rubus Idaeus (Red Raspberry) Seed Oil, Cymbidium Grandiflorum (Orchid) Flower Extract, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Rosa mosqueta (Rosehip) Oil, Aloe barbadensis (Aloe) oil, Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) Oleoresin, Azadirachta indica (Neem) Oil, Natural Flavor.  Color Ingredients: Mica, Titanium Dioxide.  May Contain: Iron Oxides, Tin Oxide, Manganese Violet.

The preliminary report that I created in the Cosmetics Database gives this product hazard score of 3. The only ingredient with a hazard score above a 2 is natural flavor, but Priia’s website states that that their lip infusions are “delicately scented with natural tangerine citrus flavor oil” and that the flavor oils they use are “100% natural and do not contain any alcohol or synthetics.” My mind is eased.

Some great things about this product:

1. It’s free of parabens, retinyl palmitate, bismuth oxychloride, talc, nanoparticles, FD&C dyes, lakes, carmine, synthetics and petroleum by-products.

2. It’s cruelty and gluten-free.

Product Description(provided at “An amazing lip product that has the creamy feel of a lipstick, the staying powder of a lip liner and the shine of a lip gloss all in one!  It was our goal to create a 100% natural product that went beyond ordinary, run-of-the-mill lipstick and that’s just what we did.

Pucker Upz Lip Infusions™ are infused with the finest lip-loving exotic oils like Orchid Extract Oil and Red Raspberry Seed Oil, which provides a natural sun protection factor.

Rich, hydrating butters such as Shea Butter, Avocado Butter and Cocoa Butter soothe and protect your delicate lips.  Available in 20 gorgeous shades!”

Price– You can get your own sample of this product for free or a full size tube (3 grams) for $9.50.

Performance– With a name like cha-cha cherry, I expected this product to be an either very bright (maraschino cherry) or very deep (fresh cherry) shade of red. It was more of a shimmery, rusty red, but I’m actually really happy with the shade because I think it’s rather flattering. It feel really nice on my lips, too. It isn’t too heavy or too glossy, and it’s also fairly moisturizing. My lips appreciate that part.

Check out my review of Priia’s essential cover creme mineral foundation to see me wearing cha-cha cherry and a few other Priia products.

Scent– I initially didn’t think this product smelled like anything at all (aside from a pretty standard and non offensive lipsticky scent), but I think the power of suggestion has convinced me that it does have a very faint tangerine scent. It’s nice.

Rating– 10/10.  You won’t hear any complaints from this girl.

Would I purchase this item again?  At $9.50 a tube, I’d be crazy if I didn’t…right?

*I was in no way compensated for reviewing Priia Cosmetics products. The free samples I mention are free to everyone, and I paid a small shipping fee just like any other customer. : )
