Priia Creme Foundation

Remember my Priia Cosmetics sampler pack post from last week? Well, my free samples came in and I am loving each and every one! Today I’ll be reviewing the Essential Cover Creme Mineral Foundation in Golden Beige.

Ingredients (provided at priia.com)-“Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Mica, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Manihot Esculenta (Tapioca) Root Starch, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Boron Nitride, Silica, Allantoin, D-Panthenol (ProVitamin B5), Bisabolol, Iron Oxides.  May Contain: Chromium Oxide Green, Ultramarine Blue.

The preliminary report that I created in the Cosmetics Database gives this product a low hazard score of 2, and none of the individual ingredients have hazard scores above a 2!

Some great things about this product:

1. It’s free of parabens, retinyl palmitate, bismuth oxychloride, talc, nanoparticles, FD&C dyes, lakes, carmine, synthetics and petroleum by-products.

2. It’s 100% vegan and cruelty-free.

3. It’s gluten-free.

Product Description(provided at priia.com)- “Looking for a cream foundation that’s natural, good for your skin AND covers like a dream?

Look no further…introducing PRIIA Cosmetics™ creamy mineral foundation!   Now you can have all the wonderful benefits of mineral makeup in a convenient, no-mess mirrored compact.

Our exclusive formula glides on your skin like silk while providing a medium to full coverage effect.  It also includes the benefit of chemical-free sun protection while giving you a flawless, air-brushed appearance.  Hide the look of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, hyperpigmentation and other minor facial imperfections with just a touch of a sponge.

We’ve included skin beneficial topical botanicals such as Bisabolol, the active component of Chamomile, for it’s soothing and anti-bacterial properties.  ProVitamin B5 and Allantoin (derived from Comfrey Root), work together synergistically to help repair and condition the skin.  Meadowfoam Seed Oil moisturizes and rejuvenates the skin while also providing a natural sun protection factor.  Golden jojoba oil helps to bring balance to the skin and retain the skin’s natural moisture level.

Perfect for all skin types and with 16 true-to-tone shades made from the highest quality, botanicals and premium pure-crushed mineral pigments, we’re confident we have your match!”

Price- You can get your own sample of this product for free, or a full size product (5 grams) with a mirrored compact for $16.50.

Performance- Since my skin isn’t especially prone to misbehaving, I’m not usually a foundation kinda girl. For this reason, I thought I’d try using this product as an under eye concealer. I wasn’t expecting perfection. After all, it isn’t sold as a concealer. BUT I totally loved the results! I applied a very light coat, which resulted in a coverage that seemed relatively natural but didn’t leave me looking sleepy or like a raccoon.

Below, I’m wearing essential cover creme mineral foundation under my eyes, just peachy mineral matte shadow on my lids, vacation in a jar on my cheeks, and cha-cha cherryon my lips (reviews to come for the last three + two more Priia samples I’ve yet to try). I felt so pretty while wearing this makeup, you guys!

Priia Cosmetics

Scent- faint, nondescript, and  just what I would expect from foundation/concealer.

Rating- 10/10. The performance is lovely, and none of the ingredients have hazard scores above a 2. I’m smitten!

Would I purchase this item again?  Without a doubt.

*I was in no way compensated for reviewing Priia Cosmetics products. The free samples I mention are free to everyone, and I paid a small shipping fee just like any other customer. : )
