Danielle has been experimenting with a lot of homemade personal care products lately, and I wish I could say that I had the spare time available to join her. Since I don’t, and since she’s an angel, she has been concocting a few products for me to try as well. I’ve been particularly impressed with a witch hazel and lemon toner that she made, and it has even become a temporary replacement for the apple cider vinegar and green tea toner I was formerly using. I initially used it strictly to spot treat dark marks, but I’ve been toning my entire face with it since I ran out of my ACV toner. It’s made with 1 part water, 1 part lemon juice, 2 parts witch hazel, and a few drops of both aloe vera gel and vegetable glycerine. The witch hazel minimizes pores, the lemon juice fades unsightly dark marks, and the aloe vera/vegetable glycerine soothe and moisturize skin. In other words, my skin looks awesome. Thanks, Danielle!
P.S. Does anyone else love the scent of witch hazel? I cannot get enough of it.
