We all get crusty feet sometimes, and these are the times when a reliable foot creme is worth its weight in gold.
Ingredients (provided at burtsbees.com)- “glycerin, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, avena sativa (oat) kernel protein, lanolin, cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, tocopherol, mentha piperita (peppermint) oil, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf oil, fragrance”
The product earns a hazard score of 4 on the Cosmetic Safety Database, with fragrance and lanolin being the only ingredients above a two.
Product Description (also provided at burtsbees.com)- “This extra-strength hair texturizer is perfect for shaping hair into any desired style, from the “bed-head” look to smooth and silky. Castor oil, glycerin and 5 certified-organic oils add incredible shine and texture. Safe for color-treated hair.”
Price- $9-$11 for a 4.34 ounce bottle
Performance- One of the few complaints that I have about this product is how greasy it tends to be. I usually have to put on socks afterwards so I don’t slip or get dog hair all over my feet, but I’m always over it by the next day once my feet are soft and lovely. And when I say soft and lovely, I mean it. I’ve had the same tube of this stuff for at least two years, so a little goes a very long way.
Scent- If something smells like coconuts, then it’s pretty safe to assume that I’ll love it. I’ve worn this foot creme on my lips once or twice so that it would be closer to my nose.
Rating- I think that a score of 7 is appropriate for this product. I subtracted 2 points for the greasiness and 1 for the questionable ingredients.
