One of my ultimate goals in life is to find a perfume that has decent ingredients and doesn't make me feel physically ill or smell mega crunchy (as in like a big ol' pile of patchouli). I just might've found that in 's perfumes. Ingredients- Since they aren't provided in the Etsy Shop, I can't be entirely sure of the exact ingredients in these perfumes. I can, however be comforted by the assurance that "only high quality essential oils, botanical resins/oils & and plant absolutes...

Remember my less than glowing review of skinnyskinny's jasmine organic dry shampoo? Well, I recently discovered that the dry shampoo works. Not only that, but it actually works quite well. My problem? I used it on hair that simply had too much product buildup (ie: hair that needed to actually be washed), and when I used it on other occasions I simply wasn't using enough of it to see results. Some days I'm too lazy to bother with wetting my hair. It's on these days that dry shampoo comes in especially handy! Ingredients (provided at skinnyskinny.com)- "Cornstarch*, brown rice powder*, white clay, horsetail powder*, baking soda, orris root powder*, essential oils *certified organic" This product receives a low hazard score of 1 in the preliminary report I created for it in the Cosmetics Database.  The unspecified oils are the only ingredient with a hazard score above a 2. Some great things about this product: 1. It’s free of parabens,...

If you read this blog often or even occasionally, then you probably know that herbal tea is one of my favorite things in the whole world (in my long list of favorite things, it can be found right below my dogs and just above tart frozen yogurt). So when Maria from Sacred Rose Tea contacted me about the possibility of reviewing her lovely organic tea, I was all for it. To be honest, I squealed with excitement more than once when I opened my Sacred Rose package to see not one but two beautifully boxed teas...

When I came across a tub of Waikiki Pikake Body Butter at Marshalls for only 8 dollars, I snatched it up right away. My Wakiki Pikake Soy Candle makes my bathroom smell great, and I couldn't wait to wear such a lovely scent. I'm a little ashamed to admit that I didn't even glance at the ingredients. Ingredients (provided at pacificaperfume.com)-" (water), , (vegetable source), (vegetable source), (Pacifica’s own perfume blend with natural and essential oils), (safflower)

Link to An Early, Lovely Christmas Present

Kirby gave me one of my Christmas presents early, and (with the help of my immediate family) I tried it out the night before last. It's a clear glass tea pot with loose tea infuser and 12 flowering teas! The twelve teas are all green tea with jasmine (which is my absolute favorite, by the way), but they all have a different flower that blooms when you pour hot water over it! That guy always knows just what to get me. Read More »
