Do you ever fall asleep thinking about what you'll eat for breakfast the next day? Well, I do. It's my preferred meal of the day, and unless it's awesome my day probably won't be.

Unfortunately, my breakfasts have gotten pretty boring lately. Don't get me wrong; I love a fried egg...but a fried egg atop plain oatmeal isn't exactly a mind-blowing creation.

Since I could clearly use some inspiration, I'm wondering: What's your favorite breakfast?

P.S. Enjoy your weekend! And speaking of breakfasts,...

I'm happy to say that my most recent adventure in the kitchen was a success. What you see above is a bagel covered in homemade crunchy almond butter.

It tasted like heaven in my mouth.

To make your own, simply combine the following in a food processor and blend it until it looks like something you'd like to eat:

-1 cup raw unsalted almonds

-2 teaspoons honey

-1 1/2 tablespoons coconut oil (I used organic refined, since that's what I...

You guys might not know this about me, but until last night I had never tried brussels sprouts. I'm not an especially picky eater; I might even call myself an adventurous eater...so I'm not sure what took me so long.   My friend Hannah visited recently, and she left a big, beautiful pumpkin behind when she returned home. Since then, I've been brainstorming ways to put it to good use. Halloween's over, so carving it seems kind of silly. I did just come across an article about the health benefits of pumpkins for dogs, though, so making pumpkin dog treats might be in order. Below are a few pumpkin dog treat recipes I've found: Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Dog Treats Halloween Pumpkin Dog Treats Homemade...

Kirby, Danielle, and I recently rediscovered the most delicious Greek restaurant in Lake Charles called Toga Grill, and I could probably eat it every day for the next ten years.  Falafel, hummus, baba ganoush, tabouli, and moussaka have all found a very special place in my heart. Move over, Mexican.   I'm sure I've shared my obsession with Luna Bars with you guys before, but their latest flavor totally takes the cake. If you haven't tried one, then think of Samoas. It tastes like that, only ten times better. I know that sounds like an impossibility, but I'm as serious as can be. I could eat a mountain of them. A mountain! And since they're full of calcium, folic acid, protein, fiber, and vitamins A, C, and E, I can eat one on Tuesdays and Thursdays in between...
