I've been known to unintentionally mutilate an egg or three (in a row) in the process of frying, but Kirby recently taught me how to fry the perfect egg every single time! Wanna know his secret?
First, use a non-stick pan/skillet. He bought one that doesn't release harmful chemicals because he's a gem. Next, if you'll be eating two eggs or more, crack them into a bowl. Turn the stove on high and let the skillet get hot; once you can feel...
I'm usually inept when it comes to deviating from recipes, but I did exactly that with this greek yogurt and artichoke dip recipe...and what resulted was the creamiest, tastiest hummus I've ever tried. Here's the recipe: 1 can of chickpeas, drained (I know, BPA is bad news. I didn't have the patience to soak them, though, and dealing with me when I'm hungry is also bad news). three heaping tablespoons of greek yogurt (for what it's worth, it was ). 3 artichoke hearts (also canned...I'm an awful person). 3 medium...
Sometimes making decisions is tough. When I can't decide what to order while eating out, I almost always go with soup, salad, or both. Here are a few of the soups and salads I've been eating lately. Do you have any preferred restaurant standbys? Here are four reasons why we should all be eating salad on a regular basis. Have a great weekend! If there's one thing that I am, then it's a habitual snacker. So obviously, when I was given the opportunity to review Hail Merry's blonde and choco macaroons, I took the appropriate steps to make it happen. The short list of familiar, organic ingredients were an initial reassurance, but they were the furthest thing from my mind once I tasted my first choco macaroon. Delicious might be an understatement, so let's say it was delicious^3. Chocolate has never tasted so good. And the blonde macaroons were just as tasty!...

For me, one of the best parts of vacationing is being able to eat delicious food nonstop without feeling the usual amount of guilt. My vacation mode internal dialogue- "Two pieces of pie and a cookie for dessert? Well, I am on vacation. Why not? And maybe I should wash it down with a tub of melted butter... " Below are some of the tastiest dishes and treats I've been allowing myself to enjoy this week.
Oh yeah! Danielle and I did manage to make the Mango Lime Virgin Margaritas I mentioned in yesterday's post. As per...

Our friends Jason and Christina came to visit this past weekend, and we decided to make the above deliciousness the night before they left. This might be the most indulgent treat I've shared in a Foody Friday post yet, but I see nothing wrong with occasionally living a little. Using dark chocolate in place of the white could've easily made this snack much smarter (and perhaps tastier if you're a dark chocolate fan like me), but we had an entire box of Baker's white chocolate left over...

I came across the tastiest looking recipe for roasted strawberries on Design Sponge last week, and I just so happened to have all the necessary ingredients (pictured above) except for one. After determining that I could substitute the port wine with marsala, I went to work making my own batch of roasted strawberries. The whole process was an absolute breeze!
First, I quartered the strawberries.
