Everyone thinks that they have the cutest dogs around, but I actually do. Proof: Clementine has plenty love to give. She will lick your face for hours if you let her, and she is a big time cuddler.  She doesn't mind having her teeth brushed or her hair combed.  She doesn't object to the occasional application of lip gloss or the donning of a party dress.  She believes that all dogs are her best friends. She likes to run and is always excited to see me when I come home. Clementine likes to chew on important things. Winston has an old soul. He...

I went camping with my friends, my dogs, and my boyfriend last weekend. It was magical! the highlights: I got to spend time with two of my sisters. They are big fun. Clementine had the time of her life. Winston was climbing on everything within reach of his stubby little legs. Amidst all the beautiful nature, we found this rock that looked suspiciously like a penis. Kirby got stuck on a rock wall for a minute. Yes, she has a dog backback. It carried her treats, portable bowl, and a small amount of water. We got a chance to rough it like big strong men. It consisted of blueberry...

DISCLAIMER: This entry discusses in detail the following- pads, tampons, my vagina, periods, period blood If any of these topics make you uncomfortable, then please read no further. Also, if you're a girl, why are you uncomfortable with periods? They're not going anywhere until you're about fifty. Deal with it. I once was a huge fan of tampons.  Sanitary Napkins (or pads, if you're not big into fancy talk) were basically diapers for adults in my eyes; I wanted no part of that.  Still, the idea of stuffing bleached cotton in my vagina did not sit well.  I eventually decided to make...

I'm a big fan of hot teas. While grocery shopping, I tend to  find myself on the tea aisle picking out two or three new flavors (which is ridiculous, considering the overwhelming amount of tea that I already have at home).  Last night, I discovered something delcious; I cannot keep it to myself. I mixed     and         and some honey. The result was something wonderful. It tasted a little  like a liquid fruit...

I recently started washing my face once a day instead of two or three. You might think that this would cause the overall condition of my skin to worsen (I was convinced for years that the more you wash your face, the cleaner it will be, and the less  breakouts will occur...), but I have found the contrary to be true. Both the texture and tone of my skin have improved quite dramatically for such a simple change in my routine. By the way, that is the cleanser that I've been using for a while now and it is slammin. I...

1) Melatonin- I take one 3 mg pill of these bad boys about thirty minutes before I get in the bed. Since melatonin is a hormone that the body (more specificially, the brain) already makes, I don't feel guilty about taking them to help me sleep. Word to the wise, do not take these unless you plan on getting eight or more hours of sleep: any less and you might feel surprisingly hungover. Also, in most situations I opt for the natural version when given the choice between natural or synthetic, but when it comes to melatonin it's probably safest...

Link to a truly hairy situation

Allow me to preface this entry by saying I firmly believe that all the things we put on our bodies have just as much of an impact on our health and well-being as the things we put in our bodies. For the past two years or so, I had been passionately searching for a shampoo and condioner that satisfied, met, and maybe even exceeded all my expectations.  I was actually not asking for much. I just needed something free of parabens(a type of preservative) and sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates(a cleaning agent) that would also make my hair look fabulous. I learned very...
