I was recently a maid of honor in my lovely sister Erika's wedding, and I received the above bottle of oil as one of several gifts for my troubles (because visiting California for the first time and being introduced to beautiful spas, fancy cocktails, and amazing food was such a hassle...PSYCH). Anyway, today I'll be reviewing said oil. Ingredients (provided at basqnyc.com)- “Corylus Avellana (Hazel) Seed Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulicis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat Germ)...

Seeing  on the Jenesequa blog has me rethinking the way I apply my moisturizer. I mean, I'm opposed to many of the ingredients used in Clarins products,  but would you look at Claire's skin?! Either she has excellent genes or there's something to her method of application. Maybe both. To moisturize, I typically start in the center of my forehead (recently with jojoba/argan/lavender EO blend) and work my way to my outer and then inner cheeks in small, gentle, circular strokes,...

Would it surprise you if I told you that, on any given trip to any given store, I usually head straight for the health and beauty section upon arrival?  Of course it wouldn't.  Unfortunately, I'm pretty limited as to where I can purchase legitimately natural products in Lake Charles. We have a small health food store, a Sephora, a Ross, a Marshalls, and a Target. I'm sure I don't need to point out the problems with this selection, but I will anyway. The first is way yonder out of my price range and sells...

My boyfriend gets me, and I know this because two of my birthday presents were glass bottles in which I can store liquid. is like the white one pictured above, and it holds lemon water just beautifully. (pictured below) is intended for hot beverages, and I've been drinking coconut oil + green tea out of it daily. WIN.

P.S. See that schoolbook? My preoccupation with my next...

My obsession with coconut oil is a secret to no one, and the kind folks at Tropical Traditions seem to have gotten the memo as well. After seeing May's Refined vs Unrefined post, they contacted me about trying a jar of their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil. As any reasonable person would, I responded with an enthusiastic "heck yes!" The more research I did on Tropical Traditions, the more confident I felt in my decision to review their coconut oil....
