I love organic green tea with an unrivaled passion. I'll take it with a hint of jasmine, mint, or mango, and I'll also happily drink it plain. Since overdoing it with caffeine tends to make me a jittery stress ball, however, I've been trying to limit myself to 3 cups a day. I still like to have a cup of hot something when I'm not chugging green tea, so I've taken to drinking copious amounts of raspberry leaf and rooibos throughout the day. You've probably...

I recently ordered a Kombucha Starter Kit from Vegan Cuts, and it finally arrived a few days ago! All I need now is a big ol' glass jug and some fancy sugar, and I'll be good to go. Any tips or tricks from kombucha experts out there? I've only ever had store bought, but I'm pretty excited to finally be making my own batch. I ordered the strawberry green tea instead of the jasmine, and it smells like a dream come true.

Leave it to me to come down with a killer scratchy throat/steadily runny nose right in the middle of an already hectic semester. However, I refuse to make a trip to the doctor's office unless I am truly on my last leg (and I'm not there yet). Here's how I've been coping with feeling under the weather:

1) tiny citrus fruit

2) pot after pot of garlic & ginger tea

You might or might not remember my post from a while back about my confusion regarding retinyl palmitate. The knowledge I gained from my limited research did prompt me to eventually add retinyl palmitate to my list of Ingredients to Avoid, but I was still pretty unsatisfied with how much I learned. Upon the discovery of , a pretty nifty website packed with useful information (complete with a HUGE ), I decided to ask one of the available experts what they thought of retinyl palmitate. ,...

I vow to get in shape before being seen in a swimsuit each summer, and I neglect this vow after only a few days of effort nearly every time. Fortunately, I think I've finally pinpointed the source of my past failures:  I hate working out alone. Who doesn't, though? Where's the motivation in that? Realizing my weakness, I set out to find a workout partner (be it an actual friend or a stranger in a video reassuring me of my abilities). I happened upon both when I saw the...

Link to Do you breathe correctly?

There has been so much written on the topic of proper breathing that I won't bore you with a restatement of the facts. However, I will say this: As someone who is stressed out 97% of the time, breathing deeply is not something that comes naturally to me.  I'm usually so focused on the things that I need to get accomplished by my self-imposed deadlines that  proper breathing almost always takes a back seat. Lately, though, I've been trying to do right. Below are several articles/posts that have helped me understand the importance of deep breathing. Since the facts are useless without...
