The second product I’ll be reviewing from Integrity Botanicals is Soapwalla’s Luxurious Ginger, Citrus, and Lemongrass Body Oil.

Ingredients (provided at integritybotanicals.com)- “Simmondsia chinensis(jojoba) oil*, helianthus annuus (sunflower) oil, vitis vinifera (grape) seed oil, prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, essential oils of: zingiber officinale (ginger), cymbopogon (lemongrass), citrus paradisi (grapefruit), citrus aurantifolia (lime) peel*”

The Cosmetics Database give this product a nonexistent hazard score of 0. Yeah!

Some great things about this product:

1. It’s free of parabens, phthalates, & phenoxyethanol.

2. It’s cruelty-free.

3. It contains organic ingredients.

Product Description(provided at integritybotanicals.com)- “Harmonize the senses while locking in moisture with this fast absorbing, luxurious body oil.  In a base of organic jojoba and sunflower seed oils, this formula is lightweight and replenishing.   Grapeseed, sweet almond and coconut oils deeply moisturize and lock in moisture. The invigorating, refreshing scent of pure lemongrass, grapefruit and lime essential oils revitalize while ginger calms the senses.   Skin feels soft, supple and smooth without feeling greasy.  Great for dry, itchy skin.”

Price$28 for a 4 oz. bottle.

Performance– Unlike some other oils I’ve used in the past, this product dries fairly quickly and doesn’t leave any unsightly oily marks on my clothes. It leaves my skin hydrated and just the softest. It’s apparently ideal as a pregnancy body oil, but as someone who is without child….I still love it.

Scent– Sure, this oil makes my skin super soft, but the scent is where this product really shines for me. It smells amazing!  Honestly, I don’t associate the scent with citrus, ginger, or lemongrass, but it’s intoxicatingly dreamy nonetheless. Slightly sweet and fruity and almost impossible to accurately describe. It reminds me of a green tea scented shampoo (that didn’t actually smell anything like green tea) that I used to own, but I’m at a loss for the name of the brand. Since the shampoo wasn’t all that impressive, I remember wishing that I could simply wear the scent instead of washing my hair with it. I’ve gotten several compliments while wearing this oil, which is unusual since it isn’t a perfume. I’m only slightly exaggerating when I say that I wouldn’t mind smelling like this product every single day for the rest of my life.

Rating– Maybe it’s a little pricey, so I’ll subtract 1/2 a point. I wouldn’t dare give this product anything lower than a 9.5, though. 9.5/10 it is!

Would I purchase this item again? Absolutely I would. Between this body oil and the fantastic deodorant cream, Soapwalla is shaping up to be a pretty stellar brand!
