My lipstick shade preference changes as quickly as my mood, so it’s nice to have several from which to choose. The 100% Pure Naked Berry Creamstick is a nice change of pace from the bright pinks and reds I tend to gravitate towards.
Ingredients (provided at100percentpure.com)-“Hydrogenated Jojoba Oil, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Beeswax, Coconut Stearic Acid, Vitamin E (Tocopherol), Rosehip Oil, May contain all or some of the following fruit pigments : Cherry, Cocoa, Strawberry, Plum, Blueberry, Blackberry, Peach, Apricot, Tomato, Pomegranate, Acai, Raspberry, Chokeberry and Cranberry, Rice Starch Powder.”
The preliminary report that I created in the Cosmetics Database gives this product a hazard score of 0. The two ingredients I left out, because the site didn’t recognize them, were plum and chokeberry. There are no ingredients in this product with a higher hazard score than 2, but there is also no data for hydrogentated jojoba oil or acai berry.
Some great things about this product:
1.It’s free of parabens, petrochemicals, retinyl palmitate, phthalates, artificial fragrance, artificial colors & chemical preservatives.
2. It’s cruelty-free (and the only animal product 100% pure uses is cruelty-free honey).
Product Description(provided at 100percentpure.com)- “These all natural creamy pencils are non – waxy and will not feather or bleed. They are colored with natural fruit pigments and formulated to be long lasting. Use alone as all over color to your lips or use as a lip liner to shape lips and to make lipstick last longer. If you want more shine, apply lip gloss over these creamy pencils. These all natural formulas are free from lead, synthetic chemicals, artificial fragrances and chemical preservatives.”
Price– around $15 for a 3.3 gram stick.
Performance– My favorite way to wear this product is by applying a light coat over 100% Pure’s Cranberry Glow Lip & Cheek Tint. It’s rich and lovely and pretty perfect for a hot date. I also really appreciate that it isn’t drying and doesn’t easily wind up on my teeth (we’ve all been there). I’m wearing my berry creamstick on top of a little cranberry glow lip tint in the picture below.
Scent– The creamstick smells a lot less like fruit than the other 100% Pure products I’ve tried, and it has a faint, waxy scent. It isn’t offensive or obvious.
Rating– 10/10! I have zero complaints.
Would I purchase this item again? Yep!
