1) Melatonin- I take one 3 mg pill of these bad boys about thirty minutes before I get in the bed. Since melatonin is a hormone that the body (more specificially, the brain) already makes, I don't feel guilty about taking them to help me sleep. Word to the wise, do not take these unless you plan on getting eight or more hours of sleep: any less and you might feel surprisingly hungover. Also, in most situations I opt for the natural version when given the choice between natural or synthetic, but when it comes to melatonin it's probably safest...
