Five Finds: Feelin’ Fall

This past Monday, it didn’t suck to be outside. I didn’t start sweating immediately, and the breeze was downright pleasant. Kirby and I celebrated by taking the dogs to the park, and I couldn’t help getting excited about all things fall-related. Below are five organic and/or eco-friendly items I’d gladly wear this fall.

How adorable is this acorn & pine cone necklace? This answer is very. It’s also handmade with 100% reclaimed metal!

A Healthy New Year’s Resolution

I sent Kirby links to several different sets, but these were one of my favorites.

I frequently give myself lifestyle improvement goals and never meet them. It’s something that I’m not proud of, but it has become a fact of my life. I’m putting my foot down this year, and I’m making a new year’s resolution to exercise at least every other day and stick to it. I asked Kirby for Asics for Christmas because, well, I think that running and riding my bike might seem more appealing if I have some cool shoes to do it in. Also, the pair of Walmart sneakers that I’ve had since high school are a sad sight to behold. Other healthy goals include eating more dark green vegetables and less chips.

What’s your new year’s resolution?

Spending money is fun at first.

I ordered some adorable and on sale shoes for myself today, and I can’t wait to wear them!

A piece of news that is more relevant to this blog, however, is that I also ordered some health and beauty product samples by brands that I rarely or never review. The brands are Lily Organics, evanhealy, The Answer For Skin, and Skin; the products will be tested and reviewed shortly after they arrive.

This might be ridiculous, but…

I think Fitflops are too cool!

The Limited Edition Fiorella Fitflop in Bronze is my fave.

They’re not entirely aesthetically pleasing, and they’re not super cheap (from fifty to eighty dollars), but I can wear them while grocery shopping in place of ankle weights and not feel like a turd. I might just ask Kirby to hook me up with some of these for my birthday.
