I purchased a bottle of Dr. Bronner's Lavender Coconut Hair Creme around last July, but I guess it got lost in the abyss that is my bathroom cabinet. I ended up giving it to Danielle at some point, and then it really wasn't a concern of mine. I'm not sure what reminded me of it, but here I am with a very late review. Ingredients (provided at drbronner.com)- "Water, Organic Coconut Oil*, Organic Ethanol, Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Hemp Oil, Organic Lavender...

Hi, everyone! My friend Anna, who has indisputably awesome hair, has generously agreed to review Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment. Until now, I'd never heard of this stuff, but it seems like something that I might need in my life. Ingredients (provided at sephora.com)- “Elaeis Oleifera, Fragrance, Lecithin, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Citric Acid, Serenoa Serrulata, Prunus Africana. This specific product wasn't in the Cosmetic Safety Database, but Lecithin and Fragrance are the only two ingredients with hazard scores above a three. Some great things about this product: 1....

It's not drastically different, but I feel like a new woman. I guess that's all that matters.  I bet I'll like it even more once I fix it myself. Danielle says that I look like Sophia Bush. Also, I shaved my legs and armpits with the conditioner that I reviewed yesterday, and they feel like a...

Link to I need hair help!

I have a hair appointment next Tuesday, and I've convinced myself that I need bangs. Imagine that! I'd really appreciate some help in the way of  advice on particular bang type.  I'm having trouble deciding which kind of bangs I want and, more importantly, which kind would look best. Which of these bangs would be best suited to my face shape/facial features? Source I mean, this isn't my first rodeo, so to speak. I've had bangs before: Thanks in advance for all the good advice you guys are gonna give me! Also, Is it wrong that this Care2 article about the Top...

Aside from shampoo, conditioner, and the occasional leave-in moisturizing treatment, I don't put many products in my hair. After smelling John Masters Bourbon Vanilla & Tangerine Hair Texturizer, though, I knew that I had to at least try it. I had pretty high expectations after using and loving John Masters Organics shampoo and conditioner. Ingredients (provided at johnmasters.com)-"Ricinus communis (castor seed) oil, glycerin, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter,* sorbitol, panthenol, vanilla planifolia (bourbon vanilla) fruit oil,* citrus aurantium dulcis (orange) flower oil,* citrus reticulata (tangerine) peel oil,* citrus grandis (grapefruit) peel oil,* tocopherol (vitamin E), ascorbyl palmitate (vitamin...

I wish that lightening my hair was easy/safe.

Looking at pictures of Kristen Stewart with blonde hair has convinced me that I may also need blonde hair.  It's one of those things that I'll probably never do, but it's fun to pretend. Now would be the perfect time to radically alter my physical appearance, too, since I'm moving and I won't have to deal with all the surprised/disappointed faces.  I'm currently scouring the internet for ways to safely lighten my hair.  My conclusion: There aren't many. Surprise, surprise. I haven't given up yet, though. I'm gonna talk to all the hairstylists/colorists that I know and see what they say....

My beach vacation has been pretty fly thus far.  I haven't spent much time at the beach (because of the nasty water...oil spills are for the birds), but our Condo is sufficiently sweet. There's a lazy river; how cool is that?! I've been avoiding shampoo altogether this week and using baking soda in its place. I've been conditioning with Aveda Rosemary Mint Conditioner (and my hair has never looked better): My mom bought me some Time & Again Organics hand cream today at a cute little shop.  It was seven dollars, and it smells like a dream:

Get outta town, olive oil.

Link to Get outta town, olive oil.

I coated the ends of my hair with olive oil before going to bed three nights ago.  I thought that I remembered trying it before, but I must have been wrong because I do not at all remember the greasiness that ensued.  I used baking soda the next morning in the shower and thought everything was fine. BUT my hair still looked wet after it was completely dry! I had to put it up while I was at work; it looked that gross.  All the shampooing that I had to do to make my hair normal again definitely undid...
