Turby and John Gets a Facelift

The blog has just been given a much needed revamping, courtesy of my super sweet and insanely talented boyfriend. Aside from the more obvious changes (like the colors, fonts and banner), you might also notice the following improvements:

links to the Turby and John Facebook page, my Twitter, and my Pinterest in the top left corner
an Ingredients to Avoid Page in the main navigation bar that I promise to add actual content to in the very near future
a page that displays all items for sale in my Etsy Shop: Feelin’ Fancy Vintage
a smartphone friendly layout and one suited for larger screens.

And as you’ll see below, each post now has my goofy little signature at the end.

I’m so pleased with all the changes, and I hope you guys enjoy them as well. I’d love to hear your feedback!

(Closed) Grapefruit Glycolic Scrub and Homemade Scrubbie Giveaway

Today’s giveaway (which also happens to be Turby and John’s very first!) is brought to you by Made From Earth, a cruelty-free company whose line of organic skincare products is always free of parabens, synthetic preservatives, colors, and fragrances. I’ve tried, loved, and reviewed a few Made From Earth products in the past, and I will be reviewing more of my favorites in the coming weeks. Depending on how popular this giveaway is, I’ll likely be having another one of those as well!

The items up for grabs today are a bottle of Made From Earth’s Grapefruit Glycolic Scrub (a $15 value!) and a set of three face scrubbies (tutorial on the way!) that I made especially for this giveaway. I haven’t tried the Grapefruit Scrub for myself, but its pleasant scent and organic ingredients bode well for its performance. I made some extra scrubbies for my own personal use, and at the risk of sounding braggy…they’re pretty dreamy. They’re perfect for cleansing and toning, and they’re machine washable! I have a feeling that the scrub and the scrubbies will be a match made in heaven.
