Friends and loved ones, If you're having trouble deciding on the perfect birthday gift for yours truly, then maybe you should have a look at this list. I'd be thrilled to receive any and all of the following.

  1) This lovely poppy ring is made from recycled sterling silver and is shipped (for free anywhere in the United States!) in a recycled kraft box. My finger aches for this ring, and I'm not joking.

I've been favoriting/hearting things left and right on Etsy lately, and I just can't quit. Below are a few of my favorite health and beauty related discoveries. Good thing my birthday's coming up, right? I've always wanted to cook with lavender, and culinary lavender could make that happen so fast. I'm almost out of my current toothpaste, and shipping for this little guy is free with another item!

This Becca bikini in mint is made from soy pulp, a byproduct of tofu production that would otherwise be discarded.   These Ocean Minded Sandals are made with recycled materials and water-based adhesives.   This handmade notebook from Faye Dodges Zombies is full of unlined pages, perfect for beach doodling! Doodling without a writing instrument is impossible, and this organic, recycled...

1) My sad little cuticles could really use this hand salve, and I'm comforted by the short list of familiar ingredients. 2) A silk and organic cotton eye mask would make me feel extra fancy while I sleep. 3) This professional set of vegan makeup brushes would be a real upgrade from my current incomplete set.

My birthday is still several months away, and I should be saving my money rather than spending it. Unfortunately, none of what I just said makes me want the below items any less.   1) A pouch made to hold soiled, reusable menstrual pads: both useful and adorable. Am I the only one who hates using public restrooms when I'm on my period? This little guy could only help matters. 2) This body wash has a pretty impressive list...

Oh, Netti Pots.

I am still sick, and it's the worst. Something I forgot to mention yesterday, though, is a netti pot. As far as I'm concerned, a netti pot is the kind of thing that a sick person should always have within arm's reach (specifically if your nose is stopped up and/or you're suffering from a sore throat). For the past few days, I've been using my cheap plastic netti pot like it's going out of style. All this netti talk reminds me that I didn't actually get the beautiful netti pot that I wanted for Christmas. To top it...

Upon my good friend Selena's suggestion, I've been using my Debutante Face Scrubbies to cleanse my face rather than tone it.  I've found that this is obviously what they're intended to do (not only because that's what the product description states on their Etsy product page, but also because it leaves my face feeling super soft and thoroughly clean). Here's how I've been doing it: I squirt the tiniest bit of my current cleanser in the palm of my hand, apply it gently to my face with my hands, and then scrub away...

Remember the Debutante Face Scrubbies that were on my little Christmas list? Well, my sweet friend Jade got me a set of them in white! Overall, I'm a big fan. I've been using them to apply toner to my face, and since they're textured.. I actually feel like I'm toning and exfoliating at the same time. What a treat! My only complaint is that since they're so thick and absorbant, I tend to use a lot more toner than I did with a disposable cotton...

Remember the homemade bath soak that I posted about a little over a week ago? Well.. I was checking out Eco Stiletto's shop and I came across some bath salts and milk baths that reminded me a lot of those. Apparently, Rianna Loving knows what's up. She's selling these adorable concoctions for $28.00 a bottle and undoubtedly making a killing. I say more power to her! Something unrelated: I firmly believe that every woman needs a good sleep bra. I know Christmas just happened, but I almost squealed when I saw this adorable

Homemade Bath Soak

Danielle and I made homemade bath soak for some of our friends and gave them away as Christmas presents this year. The scents that we ended up with were appropriately named Tangerine Raspberry, Lavender Vanilla, Lemon Jasmine, Lavender Spearmint, and Lavender Peppermint. We used old wine, whiskey, Irish cream, and gin bottles as containers, and the fact that we had ten of those with lids just lying around may make us seem like a bunch of lushes...but, in our defense, we have a lot...
