When people ask me why I don't eat meat, I usually freeze. I'm always worried that I'll say something that will come off as offensive or ignorant or maybe even both. I usually begin by saying, "I'm not a very good vegetarian." I've been eating a mostly vegetarian diet for only a couple of years now, but I will eat meat if someone I don't know very well cooks me a meal. I consider it common courtesy. I usually follow my shameful consumption of meat with lots of fiber rich foods, but at least I didn't seem like an asshole...
I find new reasons to drink coffee every single day.
photo credit: laurensdekoning I steered clear of coffee for years because I thought that it was bad for me(and it probably would have been with all the cream and sugar that I used to add when I occasionally indulged in coffee). Who knows why I thought that , but something tells me that a lot of people are under the same impression (namely: ignorant southerners). I've been reading loads...
