five things I learned from watching Dawson’s Creek:
1) Apparently fifteen-year-olds from New England have more expansive vocabularies than most college graduates.
2) If you cheat on your husband, then he will inevitably die in a car crash. Yes, it will be because you cheated.
3) Girls from New York move fast.
4) Dawson Leery (and, by extension, James Van Der Beek) is a putz.
5) and most importantly: I am sucked in by teen dramas that are riddled with cliches and inaccurate suggestions about how life really works.
