My lovely sister, Danielle, has been coloring her hair with Henna for ages. We recently tried a new brand together, and I urged her to do a guest review since she's been around the block (as far as henna's concerned). She kindly obliged, so here it is: I've been coloring my hair red for couple of years now. I started out using a bright red temporary foam that was supposed to last 6-8 washes--it ended up lasting six to eight weeks, and I really loved it. However, I really wasn't too crazy about putting all those chemicals on my head....

Today is my beautiful sister Danielle's birthday, and while I could never top the caring and thoughtful gifts that she gave me for my recent birthday (some lovely handmade pillowcases that she'll be posting about soon)... Remember my post about silly animal paintings? Danielle wanted me to paint her two sweet cats, Chowder and Maxine, shortly after we moved into the new house. I tackled the project in my first little bit of free time: Next in line are my friends Taylor (who has an adorable dog named Nellie) and Katie (who owns two beautiful dogs named Sam and Mia). The next few days are going to be incredibly hectic. I'll be carrying lots of heavy things, driving nine hours, and then carrying more heavy things. I'm just gonna go ahead and warn everyone: this post is about to be a link fest. The pretty glass bottle that my Burt's Bees Vitamin E Body & Bath Oil came in has inspired me to buy more glass bottles for storing homemade health and beauty products. Danielle has been urging me to replace my shampoo with baking soda for at least a year now, and I finally tried it out in the shower this morning. Actually, it was this afternoon.
