Tell Your Friends:

Mineral Veil

Hi guys!  It’s Jacqui again.  I’m reviewing the Bare Minerals “Mineral Veil” today.  You know I’m already a huge fan of the foundation, but when I started looking up all the ingredients of their other products on the Cosmetics Safety Database, I sat up and started really paying attention to this company.  VERY IMPRESSED, I say!

Ingredients (provided at ewg.org/skindeep)- “Zea Mays Starch, Corn Starch Modified, Zinc Stearate, Magnesium Stearate, Iron Oxides.”

This product earns a low hazard score of 1 in the Cosmetics Database, and there are no ingredients with hazard scores above 3.

Some great things about this product:

1.  It’s free of parabens.

2. It’s cruelty-free.

Product Description(provided at bareescentuals.com)- “Make the most of your makeup with Mineral Veil, a see-through but spectacular finale for any kind of complexion. Minimizing lines, absorbing oils, and softening your complexion, it gives you a flawless finish that’s too good to miss. And best of all, it’s utterly weightless. Just a bare veil of minerals that lock makeup in place and give your skin airbrushed perfection.”

Price- $6.99 for 2 grams or $19 for 0.3 oz.

Performance- So Mineral Veil is kind of like their version of finishing powder.  I LOVE this stuff.  It not only locks my make-up in place, but it also makes my skin look radiant.  Like there are lights behind my skin.  It has the slightest shimmer, but nothing that is noticeable.  Their  ”airbrushed perfection” claim is no joke.  Who knew that some corn starch would look this good?

Scent- none that I can detect

Rating- 10 out of 10.  This stuff is great for touch-ups throughout the day, and it photographs well.  It feels like nothing on my skin, yet it makes my skin look flawless.

Would I purchase this item again? Heck yes!

This is the make up that I use! While I have to admit I never looked into their ingrediants and sort of blindly hoped they weren’t bad, I’m very happy to hear that they are all non-hazardous!

I hadn’t done much research either, but now I totally want to try this stuff!
