Sacred Rose Organic Herbal Tea Reviews

Tell Your Friends:

If you read this blog often or even occasionally, then you probably know that herbal tea is one of my favorite things in the whole world (in my long list of favorite things, it can be found right below my dogs and just above tart frozen yogurt). So when Maria from Sacred Rose Tea contacted me about the possibility of reviewing her lovely organic tea, I was all for it. To be honest, I squealed with excitement more than once when I opened my Sacred Rose package to see not one but two beautifully boxed teas for my reviewing.

Sacred Rose Tea

Having never prepared loose leaf tea before, I was pretty excited to actually have a reason to use the infuser that came with the teapot Kirby got me for Christmas. I assumed there would be a good bit of extra preparation with loose leaf tea, but it was as simple as adding the tea to the infuser once the water was boiling and allowing it to steep for around six minutes. And since one cup of boiling water requires one teaspoon of tea, figuring out how much tea to add is an easy task as well.  My teapot holds around four cups of water, so I added four teaspoons of tea to the infuser. After steeping the tea for the appropriate amount of time, I poured myself a cup and tried it out. I’ve always heard that loose leaf tea is more flavorful, and while I cannot speak for all loose leaf teas, I definitely found this to be the case with the two I tried. And now, on to the reviews!

Mother Earth Zest

Mother Earth Zest

Product Description- “a refreshing blend of ginger, spearmint, fennel and sage which assists in bringing a sense of fullness and grounding to our lives. This blend aids digestion and helps us root to the earth. Healing to the Root Chakra.”

Price- $18.00 for a 3 oz. box

Thoughts- I’ve been drinking a few cups of this tea each morning after breakfast, and it has become my preferred alternative to coffee. I feel invigorated and alert after drinking it, but the jitteriness that I often experience after just one cup of coffee is nowhere to be found. Mint and fennel are the most powerful flavors in this tea, which is an especially tasty and surprisingly sweet combination.  I didn’t even need to add honey! And since ginger aids in digestion, this tea makes for the perfect post meal beverage. I will definitely be buying more of this tea when I run out.

Beloved: The Twin Souls

Beloved: The Twin Souls

Product Description- “a consummate alchemy aphrodisiac of damiana leaf, jasmine, hibiscus, hawthorn, pomegranate and wild cherry bark, blended under the Law of Resonance of the One Sacred Heart of the Creational Flame.  Activates the vibration of being loved,  Beloved®.”

Price- $18.00 for a 3 oz. box

Thoughts- Dreamy is the perfect word to describe this tea. It’s warming, relaxing, and it might just be my new favorite summer tea. The flavor is pleasantly fruity and slightly peppery, and it’s complimented by honey but also delicious on its own. Before bed or while relaxing and reading a book are both ideal times to enjoy this tea. Best of all, the pretty, deep red color of this tea makes watching it steep a real treat! Beloved is another tea I plan to keep around for a long while.

If this tea sounds like something you might need in your life, then Monday’s post should be right up your alley!

What pretty packages! And the teas sound good, too. I’m also a lover of teas, especially greens and herbals. You might be interested in http://www.adagio.com/ for loose teas and tea products. I semi-reviewed their tea infuser on my blog a few weeks ago: http://lifeovergradschool.wordpress.com/2011/05/20/its-friday-im-in-love/.

I just might have to try Sacred Rose Tea when I run out!

Wow! There’s so much to choose from, and it all seems reasonably priced. Also, I love a sampler. I’ll definitely try these guys out! I might need to look into that steeping mug as well.
