Tell Your Friends:

As neurotic as I may be about cleansing and toning my face, I often forget to exfoliate. Sometimes I’ll go weeks without exfoliation even crossing my mind. I usually start to notice a difference in my skin by week two of no scrubbin’, though. My skin starts to look dull, and tiny whiteheads start to appear in the most inconvenient places. Why do I do this to myself when I know that this will consistently be the outcome?! That question’s rhetorical; I don’t know the answer and neither do you. Still, it’s something I need to get on the ball about. Not a single person likes having dull skin.

When I actually remember to exfoliate, my two favorites are Karen’s Botanicals Exfoliating Cleansing Grains and ground adzuki beans (which are pictured above). I’ve tried the cleansing grains with water, honey, yogurt, and egg, (upon the suggestion of the label) and I like them all for different reasons. The water is nice when I’m feeling lazy and don’t want to go to the kitchen to get yogurt, honey, or an egg. I use the honey when my skin is a little on the broken out side. The yogurt and the egg are great for dry skin! Danielle introduced me to adzuki beans, and I am forever grateful.
