Glass bottles make me smile.
I’m just gonna go ahead and warn everyone: this post is about to be a link fest.
The pretty glass bottle that my Burt’s Bees Vitamin E Body & Bath Oil came in has inspired me to buy more glass bottles for storing homemade health and beauty products. My friend Chuck told me about two really neat websites where I can find glass bottles for next to nothing (SKS Bottle & Packaging, Inc. & Sunburst Bottle Company), and I’m pretty pumped about it. The first two projects that I plan to fill some bottles with are this homemade toner and some homemade perfume that I’ll throw together from several recipes that I’ve found. I am going to make the sweetest little labels for the bottles too. So many good posts are on the way. I hope you’re as excited as I am!!
And another thing:
Aside from being pretty, glass bottles are also better for us and the environment. By using plastic containers, we run the risk of exposing ourselves to BPA, which is bad for us for several reasons. I rarely reuse plastic containers because of these concerns, but I almost alway reuse glass. By using glass containers, I’ll produce less waste.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m excited. After our conversation last night, and you and Danielle’s knowledge of natural and safe ingredients, I personally think we should all start our own beauty line! I can make chapstick and bath salts hahahaha!
I love that idea! Danielle can make toner, salve, toothpaste, and deodorant. I can make perfume, eye cream, and leave-in conditioner. We can also make cuticle cream and a cream that has lots of vitamin E for scars!
