Zevia is pretty tasty.

Tell Your Friends:

Zevia Cola

This one tastes more like pepsi than coke.

Zevia Black Cherry

It tastes just like Fresca Sparkling Black Cherry Citrus.

Zevia Twist

The Zevia Twist is my favorite. Think gingerale mixed with sprite.

I drink a lot of water. When I’m not drinking water, I’m usually drinking fruit juice, herbal tea, or black coffee.  I swore off regular soda a few years ago after reading some really awful things about high fructose corn syrup (and settled for the occasional Mexican Coke), and I’ve never cared for the taste of artificial sweeteners that are in Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi (or the heath risks associated with them, for that matter).  I did some research on Stevia before purchasing Zevia Natural Diet Soda for the sake of making an informed decision, and I feel a lot better about my loved ones and myself consuming it occasionally than something like Aspartame.  Anyone who is curious should do their own research, though. I am by no means an authority on the subject of natural and artificial sweeteners.  In almost all cases, I am going to take the natural route because it makes the most sense to me.  For example, I prefer butter over margarine (and they’re both bad for me).

Zevia isn’t cheap. I’ve been buying it for six dollars a six pack, but I tend to spend ridiculous amounts of money on things that I can convince myself are good for me.  I’m thinking of buying a mixed case online since I can only find four flavors in Starkville. One flavor that I’ve yet to try is the Ginger Root Beer, and I have a feeling that it’s gonna be a winner.

I have also been enjoying Zevia. I have only tried the Ginger Root Beer, and I can vouch for it being a winner. Do I like it as much as my favorite regular root beer that I had to give up with the rest of the cokes? Well, no, but I’d rather have this than nothing. It is rather pricey though, huh?

On a side note, I’m growing stevia in my garden this year. First time, so we’ll see what happens.

If you don’t mind me asking, what was your favorite regular root beer? I’ve found that people always have a definite favorite, which is reasonable I guess. All root beer does not taste the same.

I think my sister is growing stevia too!

Well, I’ve had some pretty awesome root beers that I’ve picked up in different towns (most of which I never bothered to write down names of), but my favorite that I drank regularly was Barq’s. I also liked Stewart’s. I agree that all are not the same. I’m not sure why I was partial to the one owned by Coke, but I thought it had a good strong taste and was nice and bubbly.

This Web site makes me happy: http://www.root-beer.org/index.php

I haven’t tried the stevia yet, but I’ll have to consult Danielle for some recipe suggestions!

Have you found the Zevia Twist in Starkville? I haven’t seen it at Kroger, but it sounds yummy for sure.

I actually bought it at the Starkville Kroger! They’ve been out the last time few times I went, though.

I am excited about checking out that website, and Barq’s is where it’s at.
